Men commonly train large muscle groups:chest, upper back, arms, thighs, but pay less attention to ALL the muscles of the abdominal group, and the smaller muscles of the back. A man with low back pain came in our studio recently, and complained that we were stretching his upper back, saying that is not where his problem lies. But his upper back was so tight, it was obviously a big contributor to his low back being forced to overcompensate in his daily movements.
