Soft tissue will remold itself along lines of stress. So when we perform a motion repetitively, that tissue becomes stronger at performing it. But connective tissue along adjacent lines can become stiffer in response. This can result in a higher frequency of tissue tears, and immobility in surrounding joints.
A great solution is cross training…such as mixing up pilates, TRX, and cardio. (This according to the latest IDEA Fitness Journal)
